Dr. Michael Banbury is a Medical Doctor with a specialty in Primary Care and Diabetology. Dr. Banbury is a graduate of the University of the West Indies School of Medicine where he earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (M.B.B.S) and the Wharton Business School where his focus was on Distressed Asset Investing. He is also a Fellow of the Royal Society for Public Health (F.R.S.P.H).
Dr. Banbury serves at the Board level of various Private and Public sector entities and brings a wealth of management and business development experience. He is also a Co-founder of FirstRock Capital Holdings Limited.
Christopher P. Yeung is the Co-Founder and Managing Director of Premier Private Equity Limited (PPE).
In this role, he provides executive leadership over the portfolio companies’ holdings and is responsible for the achievement of the organization’s strategic goals and objectives, as identified by the Board of Directors.
Mr. Yeung has over 14 years of experience in finance and banking, specializing in debt and equity financing, mergers and acquisitions, financial advisory, financial analysis, treasury, and asset management.
He holds a BSc in Financial Economics from Centre College, USA, and an MBA (distinction) in Banking and Finance from the University of West Indies, Jamaica. He also completed the Executive Education Program in Private Equity and Venture Capital at Harvard Business School. He currently serves as a director for My Ocean Limited, Optimum Distributors, Ultra Financier Limited, Dolla Guyana Inc and Simple Advisory Limited.
Ryan Reid is the Executive Chairman and Co-Founder of the FirstRock Group. Mr. Reid has over fifteen years of experience in the real estate and financial sectors. Mr Reid has studied Finance and Management at the University of the West Indies, Mona, University of Wales & Harvard Business School.
He is also the director and principal of Growth Tech Limited (a local technology company), Innovative systems, Bumble Bee Digital Agency Limited, Dream Entertainment Limited, Xodus Carnival Company, Century 21 Heave-Ho Properties Jamaica, Yes Iyah Limited, Dolla Financial Services, Ultra Financier, Optimum Distributors and Medical Associates Hospital Limited. He has also held directorships on various Government of Jamaica Boards. He is currently the Chairman of the National Education Trust and Director of the Water Resources Authority appointed by the Government of Jamaica. Ryan is also a Justice of the Peace for the parish of St Andrew.
Tania Waldron-Gooden is the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Caribbean Assurance Brokers Limited. She has fourteen years of experience in areas such as Investment Banking, Research, New Product Development, Pension Fund, and Portfolio Management.
Tania was previously the Director – Investment Banking and Executive Director at Mayberry Investments Limited. Tania is the Mentor and Director of Main Event Entertainment Group, Express Catering Limited, and the Mentor for Derrimon Trading Company Limited and Caribbean Flavours & Fragrances Limited. She is also a Director of Chicken Mistress Limited and Island Grill Holdings Limited.
Tania holds a Bachelor of Science degree (BSc. – Hons.) in Geology from the University of the West Indies. Tania also holds a Master of Business Administration degree (M.B.A) from the University of Sunderland in the U.K. Tania has completed the Jamaica Securities Course as well as the Canadian Securities Course administered by the Canadian Securities Institute.
Ian Kelly is the Group Chief Financial Officer for the Derrimon Group and Divisional Director for Sampars. Ian is also the Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary for Caribbean Flavours and Fragrances Limited and Woodcats International Limited. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and holds both Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Accounting from The University of the West Indies.
Ian also completed the Executive Development Program at Wharton Business School at the University of Pennsylvania.
He serves on several Boards which include TyDixon Primary School, Reggae Marathon, FosRich Group of Companies Limited, Caribbean Flavours and Fragrances Limited, Woodcats International Limited and he is the Chairman of The Governor General Jamaica Trust.
Stacey Halsall- Peart has amassed over 20 years of experience working at the senior management level specifically in technology. She is a graduate of the University of Technology, and the University of Miami with an MBA in Finance and Telecommunications, Mrs. Peart currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer of AIS and oversees the day-to-day operations of the company with ultimate responsibility for developing the strategic vision for its continuous evolution.
Before becoming COO, Mrs. Peart served in a number of capacities at AIS including managing the technical department where she led a team of hardware and software engineers, and customer service specialists with record-level customer satisfaction.
K’sha White is the Portfolio Manager of Premier Private Equity Limited (PPE) and is responsible for pre-acquisition analysis as well as post-acquisition management of portfolio companies.
Prior to joining the PPE team, she served as the Director of Finance for Quest Security Services. K’sha holds a BSc (first class honours) in Economics from the University of the West Indies, Mona, an MSc in Financial Economics from the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine and a Financial Risk Manager (FRM) certification.
Glendon Johnson is the Portfolio Analyst at Premier Private Equity Limited (PPE). He holds a Bachelor of Science with first-class honors in Banking, Finance, and Economics from the University of the West Indies, Mona, and a Master of Science with distinction in Corporate Finance from the Mona School of Business. He is also working towards obtaining the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and has completed the first level.
Alethea Johnson is the Manager of Finance and Planning. She has over 10 years of experience in the banking, finance and retail industries with primary focus on financial analysis, investments and accounting. She is a graduate of the University of the West Indies Mona with a Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science and is currently pursuing her ACCA designation. Prior to joining FirstRock, Alethea worked in various capacities at Unicomer Jamaica Limited and Victoria Mutual Building Society.
Jordan Chin is the Group Vice President – Legal & Compliance of FirstRock Group. He is an Attorney-at-Law admitted to practice in Jamaica since 2015 and a licensed Real Estate Agent since 2012. He has practiced extensively in Commercial; Real Estate and Litigation law having worked with distinguished law firms in the country and has valuable knowledge in the Real Estate Industry. Jordan is a director of multiple private sector companies and has also studied at the Wharton Business School with a focus on Business Leadership. He applies his expertise gained to provide valuable advice and insight.
